Our Mission

At Whole Self Coaching, our mission is to change the world through empowering young people and strengthening families. We do this using a holistic approach that fosters wholesome futures for generations to come. We provide individualized and group coaching that addresses the root causes of challenges, helping clients navigate life's complexities and achieve their fullest potential. By integrating universal morals, trauma embodiment practices, and a deep understanding of neurodiversity, we create a supportive environment where individuals can redefine cultural expectations and build meaningful connections. Our programs focus on emotional regulation, defining one's path, building healthy relationships, and exploring behavior and motivation. Through one-on-one sessions, group workshops, and parental support, we support emotional and psychological well-being, resilience, and personal growth, breaking generational cycles and creating a blueprint for lasting positive change.

Bill Drummond

Founder & Principal Coach

Bill Drummond is a trained clinical consultant psychologist with over a decade of experience supporting young people and families in public mental health settings. Based in New Zealand, he currently serves as Clinical Leader for Youth Mental Health Services across the Wellington region, an area comparable in scale to a major U.S. metropolitan region. His work spans both acute care and community-based services.

In his leadership role within the public hospital system, Bill supports youth experiencing moderate to severe mental health challenges, including those in state care. He also provides clinical consultation to hospitals, schools, and community organizations serving individuals with mild to moderate needs. Alongside his public sector work, Bill runs a private practice where he works with clients of all ages. He also provides supervision and consultation to fellow clinicians and systems to help navigate complex mental health needs with greater confidence, competence, and care.

Bill’s approach is grounded, relational, and integrative. He brings a systems-aware lens and a steady, compassionate presence to his work, drawing on both professional expertise and lived experience to support individuals and communities in healing and growth.

His journey into psychology was shaped by a challenging early life marked by instability and adversity, which gave him a deep sense of empathy and purpose. The experience of becoming a father at a young age became a turning point that inspired him to pursue a life of service. He was accepted into one of New Zealand’s most competitive clinical psychology programs and has since emerged as a leader in youth mental health, with a special focus on supporting young people and families facing complex challenges.

Bill integrates Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and other body-based practices into his work, drawing on a deep understanding of how somatics and the mind-body connection support trauma recovery and well-being. WholeSelf is rooted in the belief that healing happens when we reconnect with all aspects of ourselves: body, mind, and spirit and are supported to live with greater alignment, resilience, and authenticity. Bill lives in Wellington with his daughter and fiancée, with whom he plans to marry next year.
